Hi, can I get a free sim connected to an old mobile number. My daughters old phone number has information relating to an email account that they need to re-gain access too. She has a new phone with new number so did not know if it was possible to get a sim with the old number. All the phones I have, have been in contract with through Sky.

Or if a new sim from Sky and they had an old sim has this been cancelled? If not they should have simply used the old sim in the new phone.

Hi, it was from Sky and then she wanted a new phone and new number which I did but she didn't know she would need the old number anymore for access to an email account recovery. The old sim was cancelled when she got new phone and number.

If the number has been cancelled then the chances of getting it back are slim to none.

The number may have already been reallocated to someone else.

Sky may be able to associate it to a SIM but it won't be 'free' and will require a 12 month minimum term.

If it's required for 2 factor then it will probably be easier to contact the mail company and see if they can recovered using alternative validation.
