MisSold an Apple Watch

I received a phone call today from sky saying that there has been issues with signal on mobiles and said that they were going to send me out a replacement SIM card, I had to do nothing the SIM card would arrive tomorrow it was a straight swop over from the all SIM card to the new, I have had a slight problem with the network so I didn't question this, but when I've just checked my emails a contract for an Apple Watch 11 has been set up. I did not agree to this the was no mention of a watch. I dont want a watch I want this cancelling. Im not happy I Have been conned, im certainly not happy that I'm going to have to deal with a return for an item I didn't choose to purchase.

Hi @Katy121 its a scam. Have a look at the link below. When any parcel arrives do not give it to a courier unless you have contacted sky and arranged this. The scammer order devices on your account then send a courier to collect it saying it has been sent in error but you are left paying for it.

Its a scam. There is no such offer.

Scammers try to obtain sufficient information to be able to order expensive mobile devices in your name which Sky innocently deliver to you.

The scammers would then recontact you (again claiming to be Sky) saying they have made a mistake and for you to send it to a (non Sky) address. If you did that they then have the device and you have the bill.

They are very cunning. They may send packaging to post the item (to them) or might even send a 'courier' to collect it. see this link

With any calls from 'Sky' (especially unexpected calls) if the caller asks for your previously agreed telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which I would expect a genuine Sky agent to do) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it will be a scam call.

I would suggest contacting Sky asap and changing your online password https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/

It's also worth keeping an eye on your bank account for any fraudulent transactions.

It wasn't Sky. It was a scammer saying they were Sky.

Follow the advice above carefully as if you return the item to the scammer then they'll have the item and you'll have the bill...

As others have stated it's a known scam. Did you give them any information - account details etc? If so then you need to log into the account & change your password immediately otherwise they will order expensive devices & then call you to say it's an error & to give them to the courier which they send or to send the drives to the address which they supply.
As they've already ordered an iWatch then they have your account details, once the password has been changed you need to cancel the order. I only hope they haven't changed the email or password &/or added 2 factor authentication to the account in order to lock you out.

Thankyou for your help, I changed the password, got in touch with sky which told me to refuse the delivery but luckily sky did manage to get the parcel stopped and returned back to them.
