From a CRA2015 perspective, within 30 days you have the right to reject the goods and obtain a full refund. (Or cancellation of credit etc.)

After 30 days (but within 6 months) the retailer must repair or replace it - the fault is assumed to be present at the of purchase (unless they can show otherwise - such as water damage etc.)

...just point out your consumer rights - the 'disproportional cost' is not your problem!

Has anyone had a MacBook Neo turn up and be faulty?
im having the longest back and forth with sky, I've asked for a repair or replacement (I have taken it to Apple and they declared it DOA- faulty backlight and chip) sky are telling me its a disproportional cost for them to repair or replace and that my only option is to return and cancel my contract.
my stance is that I cannot take out another contract so it will impact me and they're not understanding.

anyone have any advice?
