Help!!!!!

I upgrade via Sky from an iphone 12 to an iphone 17 pro max.

Transfer was fine, until I noticed I was not getting any mobile signal. No text, could not call.

I have tried everything mentioned or offered by the SKY reps. Airplane mode toggle, reset netork etc etc etc.

I do notice that in the about section of general in settings that under the physical SIM section it states Not Available in the network bit. When I click in, it then says phone not allowed. I just keep getting fobbed off by sky. They are suggesting the nbew iphone is rejecting the SIm card?? We are trying to get an ESIM but they keep saying they are having technical difficulties their end and say they will call back ,and then dont.

Anyone else having this problem???

Just to confirm the obvious, you did move your physical SIM card from the iPhone 12 to the 17?

Yes.
eventually after 11 sessions with Sky, I ended up with an employee that I could understand (his accent was not as thick, as the others) but also knew what he was doing.

i was informed that the new iPhone had rejected both the original SIM card, and the new one they sent.

Eventually new 17 pro max sent and it transferred over fine.

What a nightmare though, 2 weeks to solve with me (the customer) doing all the running around.

they also claim to always offer you the best data package for your usage history - that is complete **bleep**.
