Hi Sky, What a strange company you are

So last week I got a call from you guys offering me a great 50% reduction in my bill and a free Ipad for being a loyal customer (26 years diamond)... so far so good you say, Now here's were it gets silly

This morning I get 2 brand new Samsung phones but no Ipad!?! You guys then call me and say a courier is coming later tonight at 6 to get the phones for its your mistake and my Ipad will come next week which is fine I suppose but went can't courier bring my Ipad of its your mistake

I'm still waiting on my discount as you have taken full direct debit today and no discount at all

Me needed to ring me back immediately to get this sorted please

Hate to tell you this but you've been scammed. DO NOT HAND OVER ANYTHING TO A COURIER!

tOne of the first red flags is mention of a free device! Sky would soon be in financial hardship with such an offer.

They try to obtain sufficient information to be able to order expensive mobile devices under your name which Sky innocently deliver to you.

The scammers would then recontact you (again claiming to be Sky) saying they have made a mistake and for you to send it to a (non Sky) address. If you did that they then have the device and you have the bill.

They are very cunning. They may send packaging to post the item (to them) or might even send a 'courier' to collect it.

With any calls from 'Sky' (especially unexpected calls) if the caller asks for your previously agreed telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which I would expect a genuine Sky agent to do) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'l be a scam call.

No was definitely you guys cause the Indian guy said he has been with you for 6 years and was able to help mys change my password for my bills

These phones are definitely from sky cause says it on the stickers

My question to you guys is will I get a refund for my bill today and will I get this Ipad in post or courier or how do I get it

He also mention I could get a free broadband upgrade cause I won a draw on the app or something in VIP, He said he entered me there and then and I won the right ticket so how can I get this also please

Yes, the phones were sent by Sky. See our replies above. You have been scammed!

Ignore the offers the scammer made. They aren't going to happen.

What ever you do not hand any thing to anybody it a scam. Get touch with Sky using the information in the link posted above

Of course: the bad guys had your password (see above) and so as far as Sky knows, it was you ordering the hardware.

There are no free iPads: realistically there's not enough profit margin on any Sky subscription product for them to be giving away such things.

Unfortunately that's going to be another scam: they may be after payment card details to cover a (bogus) router delivery charge, for example.

You have been scammed. I suspect you've already handed over the said phones to the courier who works for the scammers & these phones are now your responsibility as you didn't use the correct returns procedure nor contact Sky direct. You will be liable for the full cost.
There's plenty of posts here warning about the same discount' scam. You need to contact Sky in the hope that they can block the phones & to inform them you have been the victim of a scammer, I'd also change your password & turn on 2 factor authentication.

Unfortunately it will be a legitimate courier company: what I can't understand is why their systems don't spot this.

Possible, but imo that would leave a trail - genuine delivery companies would give a tracking code/proof of pick up to the sender which could be used to track the devices. It's more likely that the 'courier' would be a someone the scammers know/trust in the local area who'll then send the devices on to someone else.
