Swapping upgrade phones

So I'm just a little confused. I've just swapped my old iPhone 14 Pro Max to iPhone 16 plus as my old phone was so broke and didn't work at all ( been using a friends) but as I've chose to keep the device and pay the remaining amount (I'm guessing that will be added to my monthly bill like usual) will the iPhone 14 Pro Max come off my account as it showing both phone and I obviously don't want to be paying for 2?

The phone will remain on your account as only phones returned to Sky are removed. You do need to pay it off but this will show on your future bill or bills.

So it will always remain on my account even when my monthly bill next month adds on the money I owe to pay it off? As I know they add on the remaining balance to my next monthly bill?

The phone will remain on your account but once it has been paid off in full

you should no longer be billed for it.
