Phone is Hacked

My phone has been hacked, I'm currently in the Maldives and nobody can contact me on my phone directly only on WhatsApp and my phone is showing 80 % spent on my spend cap even though I have not made or received any phone calls. Could you please contact me and inform me what I should do. Regards Roger Davidge

You may not be aware but you haven’t contacted Sky by posting on here. This is a customer ▶️ customer discussion forum where we try to help other customers.

Sky won't / can't contact you based on your post. Your Community username isn't linked to any Sky accounts you may have, so no one knows who you are anyway.

What makes you believe your phone has been hacked?

It is doubtful that your phone has been hacked so if it is saying you have used most of your spend cap it could be due to your data useage.

Hi @Orchardend1 whatsapp uses data to send messages/make calls so if you are using those when not on WiFi then that will be eating into your spend cap, also if you didn't switch off roaming and mobile data in your phone settings then your phone will be using data, again this is chargeable and will be billed as such.

Actual hacking is incredibly rare unless you've seriously upset a state security agency (in which case they probably aren't going to let you know that they've compromised the device)

The Sky Mobile tariff guide says Sky don't offer data roaming in that location, but making a voice call is over £8 per minute and just receiving a call is nearly £3 per minute, with sending texts at £1.08 each.
