SIM card not delivered

Hi,

Obviously in panic mode as we ordered a SIM only on Friday 19th (Today 22/12/2025) - on account it is saying 'ready to activate'.

It's for a Christmas gift so we are trying to think of contingencies if it doesn't turn up by 24th.

Is there a way in which we can get SKY to issue us with an eSIM with the same number or would we have to make an addditional order?

What process would be easiest to contact them as the chat is a bot and 99% useless and for some reason there isn't a general number to call unless it's too late (meaning if we wait the 5 days for a first class delivered letter to arrive and then re-order another SIM through the bot?)

You could just order an eSIM if the mobile takes it and when the physical sim turns up do not activate it so it is then cancelled so you will not be charged for it.

Sim and esims are both 12 months contracts so if the physical isn't activated then the contract on it does not start.

sorry i can't help but can I please ask did the sim order show on your account as dispatched? I have ordered one too and am also in panic mode, mine still says awaiting dispatch but I'm hoping it's actually sent!

Hi, mine doesn't even say despatched just delivery completed and awaiting activation so no real info and apparently theres no tracking because they just send 1st class post - my plan is wait until tomorrow and if no joy by the evening then I will attempt to get an eSim ((fingers crossed)).

Delivery completed probably means it is in the Royal Mail system now so fingers crossed it does come tomorrow so let us know if it does, if it doesn't you might get it Christmas Eve.
