£200 charge for one data use in Marocco

Hi, my daughter couldn't activate the roaming data extension £2 a day, whilst in Marocco recently. So bought a separate SIM, but she was still charged £200 for data use , but only on one day! Does anyone know how I can claim this back if at all? Thanks James

I presume you mean Morocco. It is a Rest Of The World destination (so not covered by the £2 a day charge) and costs are extremely high as per this link

It seems likely she incurred the charges before purchasing a local sim so Sky are under no obligation to reimburse all or part of the charges.

To have avoided such charges she should have made sure data and roaming was off before leaving the UK or even removing the sim from her phone because as you have discovered as soon as it connects to a local network then charging will start.

£2 roaming applies to the EU/EEA, overseas territories of EU nations and a bare handful of other countries.
