Not necessarily mobile deals but in general this is commented on frequently.

Better discounts are offered to new customers as an incentive for them to join. Most providers now do this. You'll have probably benefited from such offers in the past.

I called sky today after seeing 40Gb data for £10 per month and 10GB for £8 per month on black friday deals. Although I'm a diamond vip customer I'm not entitled to these offers but could have 4GB for £9 per month. I can't believe that existing customers of many years are not entitled to any offers! Has anyone else come across this or are there any offers that I wasn't made aware of? Thanks

The BF offers are for new customers or additional SIMs.

There is a protracted workaround to get them and keep your number but requires porting the number out of the network and back in again.

Otherwise, you can switch to any dataplan made available to your SIM.

Or you can call and negotiate a deal (saying you are leaving is potentially a good plan - but mean it).

Or there may be VIP offers from time to time that can be applied to existing dataplans.

I was notified to say my data plan contracts had expired so made contact. This is the first time I've ever been told there are NO offers for existing customers which I was surprised about. Maybe I should look else ware for better deals!
