Thanks for the replies. Popped into o2 today and they clarified that there have been major signal problems in the area for a good few months now, and also confirmed, as we knew, that Sky use o2 coverage. Ironically there is an EE shop next door and as I am out of contract with Sky and just pay £10 for unlimited calls, texts and 2gb of data EE offered me £11.50 a month unlimited minutes, texts and data on a rolling monthly contract. Signal looks far better as well. Will probably move over as this signal issue seems to be taking so long to resolve.

Over the last two months Sky's mobile signal is getting worse by the day in Mid Sussex and was wondering if anyone else is noticing this? I have been told, not sure if true, that Sky use O2's masts and I have been advised that there 100% is a problem with the local phone mast in my part of the Mid Sussex area but apparently nothing will be done about it until a specific number of complaints are raised. I know others with Sky are experiencing the esme issue. Sky's connectivity page shows no problems but there certainly are. Advice would be welcome as I am seriously considering changing to a new provider.

Is this the checker you have used ?

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/service-status-sky-mobile

Thanks for the, reply. No that wasn't the one, it was this one I found a link for https://www.sky.com/shop/mobile/coverage-checker

Interestingly the one you sent the link for does say re my area "Looks like a nearby phone mast isn’t working as it should, sorry."

Yet the one I used says it's all good coverage with no issues. However the one you sent the link for also states in other post codes that I have seen an issue "Good news. Our network is working well." when it obviously isn't. We have an O2 store locally in town so I will pop in there and get them to check my phone settings to double check it's not an issue my end.

Interestingly the one you sent the link for does say re my area "Looks like a nearby phone mast isn’t working as it should, sorry."

So as you've gathered Sky don't own or maintain any mobile phone masts. You and others in the area will be relying on a third party repair. I've not heard of a certain number of reports being needed before anything's done though.

The one you are using is the coverage checker @Chris290668 which gives a general indication of signal in certain areas. The one I provided is for current issues with masts in your area. Hopefully it gets sorted for you soon.

Once it's fixed contact Sky and ask if they'll place a good will gesture credit on your account but it's not guaranteed.
