In this case the Sky Help does not cover the problem. The issue relates to how Sky Mobile Operate.

The Phone Motorola Edge 20 Pro supports 5G and is compatible with UK networks, including Sky Mobile.

However, Sky Mobile requires that the device be listed as 5G-compatible in the Sky system. Not only for this particular phone. If you brought your own device (not purchased from Sky), it may not automatically be recognized as 5G-ready, even if the model actually is & you have set the 5G add on on your Sky account.

This is the problem as the people trying to help sort the 5G coverage seemilgly are not aware of this problem.

As SKY seemigly do not want to bother & do what is necessary to make the system recognise the model the options are:

Do not bother with 5G

Request a PAC code and change from SKY to another network that the phone will work on. In this case Tesco Mobile who also operate with the O2 Infrastructure but do not have a system which requires specific modedls of phone to be enabled.

Hi, I’m using a Motorola Edge 20 Pro and recently switched from O2 to Sky Mobile. I had 5G on O2, but I’m not getting 5G now—even in areas with cover. 5g is enabled on my account but does not show as an option. Sky confirmed it's live. I’ve restarted the device. Thanks!
