iPhone 17 Pro Max, when to buy.

Hey,

so I'm wanting to buy the iPhone 17 Pro Max in deep blue 512gb, but my plan was to wait until the next iPhone Pro Max came out, for three reasons:

1. I currently own the iPhone 14 Pro Max 512gb in deep purple, and I really like the colour and as it's the first time I've had a different colour I figured I'd hold onto it for another year.

2. I thought I'd wait another year and save some money instead.

3. So I can get it for a little cheaper (not a huge deal but just figured I would be able to).

So since the new iPhone has been released I've been keeping an eye on the 16 Pro Max to see what happens (so I know what to expect for next year when I buy my 17 Pro Max), but as it's been out of stock I called Sky to enquire and they said it should come back in stock. However since then I've learnt that Apple have for the last few years discontinued the Pro Max's as soon as the new ones come out.

So my question is this, when is the best time for me to buy the iPhone 17 Pro Max? I have no intention of buying it this year and would like to buy it as close to September as possible, but obviously I don't want to risk it going out of stock and I would if possible like to get some kind of discount on it, but from what I have been reading that might not be as likely unless I were to buy it over Black Friday, when they may have deals for it, but like I said I have no intention of buying it this year. So basically I'm looking for people's advice on what they think is the best option.

Hi @sonicchild you won't get any discount on it as it's a very popular iPhone. July August next year would be the latest I would leave it, as you have noted, once the next pro max comes out next year Apple will most likely discontinue the 17 version.

Thank you for giving me your thoughts on this... that's what I was thinking would be the case, but wanted to see if anyone else had any other suggestions... I'll probably go ahead in August to buy it, as I'm sure they'll still have them still in, just not September by the looks of it.

Hi @Pgjallan look on the website, all deals are there. As the iPhone 17 pro max is the latest top end iPhone there won't be many offers about.
