Hi @Lau6 think you have a typo as the 19 series of phones haven't been released yet. I would take the phone to an Apple Store to see what they say. This is the link for sky repair, although I doubt there is a repair sky can do.

It's an anodised (or rather, being 'merican, anodized) layer on the aluminium, not paint.

Apple is emphatically denying there's any possible issue, which is the traditional signal that a class-action and eventual token payout to US owners is scheduled for about 2028...
