PAC code when pre ordering

I've finally gave in and moving to sky mobile, pre ordered my new phone today and should be due next Friday.

I have gave sky my pac code as part of the order and it's an E-Sim that comes with the phone.

how does that work on a pre order? As I won't have the handset till next week, will they start the switch on delivery day?

Hi @Jam3sN the switch over normally starts the next working day after sky receive the PAC. Not sure how it will work with the esim, it may start the day after you activate it. If your current sim stops working on Monday or Tuesday then the transfer has taken place.

Hi, I get that, if I had the handset now that would make sense, however I won't till Friday or later (if delays to pre order)

Surely they won't transfer my number till I have the handset or I'll be left without a contactable number until I receive the handset

As I said @Jam3sN i am not sure what will happen, I would have waited until I had the new phone and had activated the sim before I gave sky the PAC. You could try calling them to see ?
