Sky Mobile Ireland roaming non-existent in UK

I'm just back in Ireland after a couple

of days in Liverpool where I had no coverage with Sky. My daughter, also on Sky, had the same issue.

When we arrived we got the usual text welcoming us to the UK and telling us we could use our Ireland call. text and data allowances but within a few hours the signal was gone, never to return.

I had a similar issue in Antrim last month.

Does Sky roaming just not work?

I have the same problem whilst travelling to Northern Ireland. Roaming works for a few hours and then nothing. Can't even select a network service provider manually. Sky Mobile support is as useless as their roaming. Time to switch?

Day three of a ten day road trip around NI and UK. Still no sign of the Sky unlimited roaming, calls and texts in the UK. Time to buy a 3 PAYG SIM card for the remainder of my trip.

Been to Italy and France recently and no issues. Not sure why Uk is so problematic.

Managed a chat session with support, after about an hour of waiting, the session disconnected. They suggested I phone a support number, they couldn't understand I have no service to make calls.

Still no roaming in NI on two of my Sky mobile lines.

here's link of the exact same problem dating back to 2024. Supposed to be fixed huh?
