iMessage charge

I just had a pop up that I may be charged for iMessage and FaceTime. Been with Sky for years never had that message. Will I be changed?

Hi @VJack iMessages are not charged iPhone to iPhone but if you try sending a picture to a non iPhone then it would be converted to a mms and you would be charged. I think the message just warns that a charge is possible.

Interesting, I've just checked my mobile bill - extra £2.85 for 3 x picture msg on iPhone to iPhone with iMessage enabled !

can't figure it out ?

Hi @Welshlady1948 could they have been sent when you didn't have a mobile data connection or WiFi ? iMessage needs data to send messages so if no data then would be charged as mms ?

5 x text msg are in blue - iMessage (free ?)

are these the culprits ⬇️

1 x picture ?

1 x text msg green - sms ?

1 x emogi in blue

Blue messages indicate iMessage @Welshlady1948 green ones are sms/mms/RCS. Not sure what's happened for you ?

Anyway of querying this, it's not the cost, it's not understanding why !

You can try calling sky on 150 @Welshlady1948 or use social media links at the bottom of this page. May be worth looking on any Apple forums too.
