Not receiving my text messages - someone else is!

I'm new to sky mobile. I've spent the last hour on the phone to sky and have been through 5 customer service people who do not have an answer.

If I text someone, they receive the message I send. When they reply, their reply goes to someone else. This poor person is recieving all my texts.

My calls come through as normal.

Please someone, help me!

Did you transfer a number from a different network to your Sky sim or are you using the number that came with the sim ?

Has Sky suggesting cancelling that sim and sending you one that comes with a different number ?

No. They just wanted to try reset a few things. It's quite worrying, I text my husband this morning asking about our child, he hit reply and the reply went to a stranger who text back (from my number) saying 'i don't know who this is'. No one at sky seems to know what's going on.

I do think it is worth suggesting a new sim is sent so you can give that a go. It might mean that you will be without a phone with a working sim in it for a few days as they can take a few days to be sent out as they are sent via Royal Mail.
