Sky have taken £45 from my account and it says on my account Sumup ** Mobile Phone C ,I have no idea what this is.

@Robert+pitt Can you view your bills in the My Sky app? That may give you an idea if it's genuine or not.

Beyond that, you're talking to other customers on here so you will need to ring Sky.

SumUp is not Sky.

It's a payment processor, often used by smaller companies.

I'd start by querying/disputing it with your bank.

As @PandJ2020 indicates, SumUp is a payment processor with an app that permits card payments to be taken using a portable reader and smartphone. I'd imagine you've recently obtained goods or services to the value of £45 through one of their devices, although such a transaction really should identify the business or individual being paid, and perhaps suggests it was incorrectly configured.

Oh, such apps can also turn a smartphone with an NFC chip into a payment collection device by itself, which does raise the possibility of fraud through proximity or relay.

@Robert+pitt As noted by other community members SumUp is a payment processor and as per the pics posted by @TimmyBGood you would need to have made either a chip & pin payment or contactless payment either by tapping your card on one of the terminals in the images posted or by tapping your phone against another phone with the relative retailer/small business.

Have you been to a restaurant or event/attraction where you may have spent this amount?
