topic Incorrect credit file information in Sky Mobile

So I took out a new handset upgrade with Sky mobile back in 2022. For reasons unknown this was set up as a whole new user account totally separate to my existing Sky mobile/tv account. I can't access it online and despite many many calls to Sky they can't fix it. The existing direct debit for my old phone continued to be taken (despite me sending back the old handset) and I also had a whole new direct debit set up for the ghost phone account. After two months of this happening I called Sky to cancel the old direct debit they cancelled the new one. I received a non payment letter and of course called to pay straight away and fix the problem of the cancelled DD. Sky accepted the mistake and I received a £15 goodwill gesture. Fast forward two years and I applied for a mortgage in February and saw that I have a non payment notice on my credit file. I've contacted Sky and

they're saying they're unable to remove it. This is putting my mortgage application in jeapordy as it's from 2 years ago so considered recent. can anyone advise what I need to do Sky are useless!
