Sim number linked to messages

I used a PAX code to keep my old number and got the email to say it had all been completed. Everything been fine for 2 weeks then today I text my daughter and it came up on the Sim number that Sky allocated me originally. I can no longer receive text messages on my transferred number yet I can still receive calls eand use WhatsApp etc on my transferred number. I tries resetting the phone but that didn't work? What's going on and why has this happened?

Hi @Jamesgrieve1979 if this is an iPhone make sure the correct number is stored in your phone settings, look in settings, phone, my number, if it's incorrect then change it, save, exit and restart your phone. It sometimes takes quite a few attempts to save.

Hi thanks its not it's a Samsung Galaxy A55 and everything has been fine including text messages for 2 weeks since number was confirmed as being transferred. Until today.

Have you checked the phone number is stored correctly in that phone @Jamesgrieve1979 ? Do you have RCS activated ? Try turning off ?

checked and stored correctly. I know not of the other thing you speak as I say I can receive calls and everything except text messages are linked to my transferred numbers.

Not sure if it will work @Jamesgrieve1979 but this is what I am referring to.

How to turn off RCS messaging on Android
Open the Messages app on your Android device.
Select the three-dot menu or your profile icon.
Go to Settings.
Tap Chat features.
Set Enable chat features to off.
In the pop-up window, tap Turn off.
Chat features are now disabled on your device, and you're removed from existing RCS chat groups.

Yes this changes nothing unfortunately. I just dont know why it has done this when it was all working fine. So frustrating.
