It looks like your plan to avoid roaming charges hasn't worked @Najla whatever you are doing is activating something at Skys end which in turn is adding charges to your account. You could try calling sky on 150 when you return to see if they can shed any light on the charges. I very much doubt they will remove them though.

I've forwarded all UK incoming mobile calls to a UK landline Skype number, so it should count as a local number when I answer these calls , as I don't make any calls. However, my roaming bill so far is £46 for this month. Could you explain that? Kind regards Najla

If you are 'answering'* these calls when roaming then you will be charged. (Using data I presume)

You cannot avoid the roaming charges like this. I also presume you are in a 'rest of world' location where the the £2 daily flat rate doesn't apply.

* depending on how this is setup you may even be charged for not answering (as data is being consumed)

I'm using local data and I turned off sky mobile data. And when I checked my bill the roaming charges were for recieving roaming calls.

Yes I'm currently in GCC region which £2 daily flat rate doesn't apply.

So, there is no point of forwarding the incoming calls to my UK Skype landline

number.

Thanks again.

Najla
