@Elliecartlidge So if you have the same problem then the same question I posted applies, no-one here can attempt to help if you don't say whats happening when you try to register.

@Elliecartlidge If your trying on an iPhone then try the following to see if it works,

Turned Wifi off on my phone so that I was just connected to data via the cellular network
Turned Data Roaming on
Turned off iMessage
Re-enter your phone number and hopefully, you should get sent a verification code

Failing that the advice I've seen given by other forums is to install WhatsApp on another device(either Android or Windows) and then set up the account from there.

If you are already trying on an Android-based phone then it could well be that the short code used by WhatsApp is being blocked by Sky for some reason( i know they do seem to have issues with some short codes).

I'm having this issue as well today

cant send text (or phone call)

it must be a Sky problem

tried turning off iMessage and putting roaming on

it's not having any of it

Same problem for us on Christmas day too.

Tried again this morning and still the same problem.

Have tried the sim in a different iPhone (no Android to try here) and still the problem persists. Have to wait an hour between each try which is even more annoying.

Have tried on WiFi, off of Wifi, etc.

Ours is still doing the same.

Does the app know the age of the person on the phone? I've set my son on my apple 'family' as a 10year old, but WhatsApp states from 13.

We had this issue it was a spend cap blocking the texts need to lift the spend cap while setting up
