Samsung Galaxy Deal

Hi I've received A9 Galaxy tablet which includes a SIM card which needs activation, but I'm unsure wether to activate it as a new number, replacement number or additional, I already have sim on my mobile and totally confused what to do with this new one😵‍💫 I'm a pensioner that's my excuse ! any advice appreciated

Are you planning on using your tablet at home only so that it will only be connected to your home Wifi, if so you do not need to activate the sim.

If you want to use it when out and about then when you ordered the tablet did you also order a data plan for it as usually these devices come with a sim no matter if you need it or not which might be what has happened here if you did not order a data plan for it.

I have the same problem as in the original post, but I would like to activate the SIM to use the device when away from my home wifi.

If you ordered a data plan with your device @ChrisUlv then you will need to activate the sim so you can access the mobile data network when you are away from home.

Yes, but I'm unsure whether to activate it as a new SIM or replacement SIM. I already have a SIM on my mobile and want to use the same number for the tablet.

You can't use the same number. If you activate it as a replacement then it will deactivate the SIM in your mobile.

Phone numbers are generally irrelevant for tablets as they don't usually have the apps for phone use - just data.

You could just tether from tablet to phone of course...
