Can I use my mobile in Tenerife if so what are the costs?

@Gordon18 Tenerife falls under Spain for roaming, the cost to use your UK allowance of data/texts/calls is £2 per 24 hours and this will automatically enable when you use the phone while there(you will receive a welcome text message).

Whatsapp should work fine both with local WiFi or when using your mobile data.

Thanks for your reply. Could you clarify- Does the £2 per day automatically "switch on" when I use my phone or do I need to contact Sky to arrange this before I go and does it apply everyday wether I use the phone or not?

@Gordon18 The charge happens automatically when you use the phone to make a call, send a text or use mobile data.

If you switch off roaming and just use local free WiFi for accessing the internet or making calls or sending messages via WhatsApp the charge won't apply.

Before you go it's worth making sure that you have your spend cap set to a sufficient level if you do intend to use any of your mobile data/make calls or send text from your UK allowance.
