I'm currently in florida and my phone says no service why is that

Have you checked if your device will find and connect to another network ?

Although you don't have to, if you have set a spend cap is it high enough as £2 per day to cover your stay ?

Is your phoen status set to abroad:

Apple:
Settings > Mobile Service > SIM Applications > Make sure this is set to Abroad.

Android:
Sky Menu App or SIM toolkit > Roaming > Make sure this is set to Abroad..
