topic Help with E Sim on iPad in Sky Mobile

Hello, I have just bought a new iPad 2024 with an E Sim because I thought this would be easy. However I am really struggling to activate it. It immediately transferred all of my data from my iPhone onto my iPad however I don't want this. When trying to activate my sim it gives me two options "I want to keep my number" and "I'd like a new number" however I don't want either. I currently have a phone contract with three mobile but my iPad was bought with sky. I don't want my iPad to have anything to do with my current phone number I just want to start from scratch. If I click I'd like a new number I'm worried this will void my old number with three if that makes sense?

Your phone number with 3 has nothing to do with setting a new number with an esim.
