Sky mobile Ireland - no data roaming in Spain

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help. I'm abroad in Spain and need my android phone for work and my data isn't working.

My roaming is on, mobile data on, tried both sky and partner network in the SIM toolkit.

I was on the phone to tech support before flying as my data wasn't working in Ireland and they assured me it would just work automatically in Spain.

Via the sim kit is the status set to abroad ?

It is set to abroad (partner). I'm a republic of Ireland customer

Hi @ConorMcCann have you tried turning off automatic network selection in your phone settings then do a manual network search and choose from the list that comes up.

In Spain and can't get data connection,I've connection with movistar just no data, tried everything toolkit etc but no joy

Very disappointed tbh, sky assured me that roaming was good and that they use Vodafone network but it doesn't connect to Vodafone in Spain.

Pretty sure when I was in Spain in August i connected to the orange network @Cliff411

I couldn't connect to data roaming or make/receive calls when I was in Northern Ireland at the weekend. I spoke to agent yesterday & she told me the next time Im there/abroad to do this.

Instructions are for samsung & I haven't tried it yet as I won't be in Northern ireland for another few weeks. I would Take a screenshot of current settings before I do any changes

Settings - Connections - Mobile networks - Make sure data roaming is on - Acces point names add -

name: Sky - APN: mobile -MCC 272

MNC 25- save. When back in Ireland change back to APN internet- MCC 272 & MNC 25

For abroad should be MCC 234 &

MNC 57

For home should be MCC 272 & MNC 25.

Me too. Asked sky, via friend to phone me on my spanish number but they are not allowed to call any other number other than their own allocated ones. What a shambles!!
