VIP Data reward

So I've become a Gold VIP member and I've noticed that one of my rewards is for 5gb of data for £6 a month. What I can't seem to work out is if this will replace my current plan (3gb for £8) or if it is for a completely new plan/sim?

obviously it's a far better deal than what I'm currently on which is the cheapest option when I go to change plans but I don't want a new sim or to end up paying for both plans every month so if anyone can shed any light on this I would be extremely grateful!

It is for a new sim as it mentions this in the terms and conditions of the offer:

Offer only available to Sky VIPs when purchasing a new data plan.

Pretty disappointing that it's only for new sims, not really an actual reward as such 😞
