topic Sim contract in Sky Mobile

Hey! Wondering if someone can help me.
I have a sky contract for the handset and got one of the free sims with it. I've got offered a great sim deal with my utilities and I get unlimited data for £18 where skys is £40 I just wanted to ask if I change over to that sim and transfer the number from the old sim to the new one will Sky want my contracted paid in full or will they see this as me ending my contract? I just don't want to do it and then I have to pay my contract back in full.

Hi @Dee1414 your phone contract and sim plan are separate so you can cancel your sim plan and it won't affect your phone contract. You will continue paying monthly for the phone. Normally there is a 12 month minimum term on sim plans and if you cancel before that then you would pay early termination charges but not sure what happens with a free sim. Bear in mind you can't port a number from one sky sim to another if you are planning on doing that.
