Mobile Phone Sim Contracts

I've 4 sims with sky which I have had untouched for a couple of years.

Noticed I can get the same data at a cheaper monthly price, so I changed the sims applying a different deal.

Does this automatically put me in a 1 year sim contract or does this remain month to month?

If you changed the data package on then then you might have started a new 12 month contract on them.

If you simply changed your mix (to the available plans for the SIM) then that doesn't lock you into a 12 month contract.
