Repetitive and unwanted mobile calls

Mobile calls from different numbers, when you answer, most times the line just goes dead or some Indian voice comes on which you can't understand and is extremely low volume.

When you attempt to call back, it says this line is unavailable.

Try blocking these numbers as there might be an option to do this within your phone's settings somewhere.

Tried blocking the call numbers. This doesn't work!!!! Have now switched on Silence Unknown Callers, on my iPhone. We will wait and see.

That is what mine is set to although you do have to be careful if you are excepting a call from hospital or doctors and the like.

You could block the number but most often the scammers are using throwaway numbers or have spoofed a genuine number. They'll just change numbers to circumvent the block.
You could download a call blocker app like Truecaller which although doesn't block the number (but that's an option) will show if the number is genuinely the person/company, a business or a scam. The free version is enough for most users & it also works with sms/text.
