Just tried to enter a competition requiring my mob no. When I entered the code sent to my phone I got the above message. (Should have added £2 to my mobile bill)

I found some info re "premium calls" being excluded by some providers but not sure if this is the reason?

I've got Sky mobile sim only with iphone 11.

Hi @hapazard2 have you set a monthly spend cap as if it's zero then you won't be able to enter such competitions.

Pretty certain I haven't. (I can't see where this is reflected in MySky app) All the other links found relate to roaming while abroad, not texting a competition no in the UK.

Using the my sky app @hapazard2 go to the mobile tab, tap on the sim in question, tap on manage sim, tap on manage settings and monthly spend cap is in there.

Ta. Just changed it. I guess the default must be zilch, as never discussed when contract taken out and subsequently renewed.
