Sky upgrade

Hi I wanted to double check cause recently a number called me claiming to be sky and they are offering for me to upgrade to a different contract and phone for a cheaper price so my dad agrees and gave them his details but I am just unsure on whether it was genuine or not as the email is as from an outside company called fine house and they said that they did all of sky like upgrade but they said the contract would sent by sky

@Doglover12232 Pretty sure this is a scam, I'm not aware of sky offering mobile deals via a third party

Hi @Doglover12232 i would tend to agree with @SKY1992bf that this looks like a scam. A look on the Fonehouse website doesn't list sky and the telephone number in your screenshots isn't the same as the one for sales on their website.

Thank you for your responses. what do you think it is best for me to do just report it to my bank so they can't take any money out

I'd be tempted to report to the FCA too - selling third-party contract does happen but afaik Sky do not do this. If they claimed to be Sky then that's potentially an actionable breach of regulated firm.

The wording of 'up-gradations' makes

me very suspicious indeed.

Hi I think they done to me 2 I got the same photos in my email has you they say there part of sky team from fonehouse , did you get it sorted what should I do ?

hey I got my dad to call his bank to cancel and block any future payments and I blocked their calls but it didn't matter cause after when I tried to call the number on the emails it didn't work.if they have already taken money then just phone your bank and report it as a scam and they should give you the money back
