Is anyone experiencing issues with audio on some channels?

Since yesterday morning the audio on a number of channels (ITV, BBC 1, Sky Sports F1, Channel 4, E4) is muffled, with the speech sounding like it is underwater.

On limited testing the same muffled audio also appears when watching live TV via ITVX App.

Other channles, like Gold, the audio is fine.

I have tried rebooting and the issue remains.

I can't see anything obvious in the audio settings, including in the custom section.

I have a Sky Glass gen 2 43"

Sky OS 1.3

Build QS040.023.00P

UI 3.247.0

Thanks in advance

They should replace the TV if it's still under warranty.

I gave the full reboot / power off a try this evening and the muffled audio is still present on some channels.

Feels like a software rather than hardware issue as audio from an external source via HDMI is perfectly fine and audio plays fine on some channels / programmes.

Does anyone have the best number to contact Sky on regarding this?

@Simmo_UK

If you go on your My Sky app troubleshoot through help and you will get the number to call.

just to throw in my experience I'm not convinced the sound quality with Glass is that particularly good anyway certainly not as advertised when you see users blown away by the sound 🙄. I often found it flat with a poor bass rumble and surround well.....

I initially attached my Apple HomePods but Glass didn't like these sound would drop and lipsync was all over the place.

I purchased a reasonably priced 7.1 surround system the Ultimea Skywave X60, sound was improved with good surround and bass but regardless of settings voices were always muffled and hard to define, I guessed I'd bought a rubbish sound system.

Anyway, I just bought the new TCL SQD mini LED C7LUK attached my Skywave and a Sky Puck and the sound bar has come to life crystal clear voices excellent surround experience and a rumbling bass that does not shatter ornaments.

I am convinced the Glass was overriding any settings set with HomePods and Soundbar by default with no opportunity to make adjustments regardless. Sky have attempted to bring to market an all in one experience and compared to most flat screen TV's they have achieved an improved sound experience but is it actually a quality sound that is very much debatable.

Just to add the the C7L picture quality just shows how weak Glass is with motion, clarity, blacks etc and it comes with a Bang & Olfsen sound system built in.

It's frustrating that Sky release updates that tend to throw something off but. My Glass Gen 2 is in another room now and despite the sound limitations I've not come across any drop in performance.

Thank you, I will get in contact with Sky and see what they say.

Like you, the Sky Glass unit isn't our main TV, we have a Sky Puck connected to a 85" Samsung with external soundbar.

We've had the Sky Glass for around a year and it gets used regularly without issue until this week.
