Moral of the story don't ever buy one of your kids a sky glass if they might mobe before the 4 years is up. Do what you like with it... as long as you continue to pay for it if you have a long term finance agreement in place.

As it is being used to access your streaming subscription you simply need to remove it from your account by performing a factory reset on it. You own it. You can absolutely purchase another one, bigger if you so wish, as long as you pay for it and continue to pay for any Glass TV you already own.

Unfortunately the complicated nature of Sky's streaming subscriptions and hardware ownership often leads to confusion amongst Sky customer service staff, many of whom are overseas and have no actual idea about how the service functions.

Moving with sky glass

I bought my daughter sky glass for her bedroom as I had in my room and the living room had a sky puk. I am still paying for the tv and my daughter has moved I. To her own home. This is where sky get you. You can not Mo e the sky glass to a new home if the person paying the bill isn't going too. I phoned sky to ask if my daughter now needs to pay for the tv herself or get sky in her own name and was told because she is going to be living less than a mile away from the main house she can just buy a puk for £39.99 and then use my Chanel's. We did this but the sky would work, works perfectly without the puk though. So she carried on watching the tv. Now sky is charging me £26 a month extra because my sky glass is being watched by someone I. A different house. They told me the tv should never have been moved from my house as it is breaking the agreement. They will have recorded the conversation when they told me that we just needed the puk. I agree that she should have her own sky bill but she can't do that whilst using the sky glass. In my opinion it is all a con

It allows you to watch your subscription channels on multiple devices within your home, not across different houses, even if they are occupied by members of your family.

You were incorrectly informed by Sky that your daughter can just "buy a puck and use your channels" - this is against the terms and conditions of your contract, as is her accessing your subscription via her Glass TV from a different address.

Your daughter can start her own streaming subscription in her own name and use it on her Glass TV, and you can continue to use your TV and puck in your own home with your own subscription.
