Don't forget recently viewed channels including ITV Three should appear at the top of your homepage when the TV is turned on (So, you don't need to find the channel from scrolling through the TV guide), alternatively you can teach her to hold the microphone button on the remote and say "Play ITV3" and it should take you directly to the channel

It receives all free to air channels via broadband and can be set to default to opening the last channel playing every time you turn it on (including ITV3), so there's no home screen unless you press a button on the remote. You can channel hop with a simple up/down controller on the remote and there are various apps for catch up content too. It's been very good and is only a one-off payment for the box itself, there are no subscription charges.

Create a list and when you've done this the default the TV Guide Row on the homepage will show your favourite channels, BUT you can rearrange the order so if you wanted you could put ITV3 at the very front of the list which means it would then always be visible from the homepage.

see image
