Hi There,

I was promised if I joint sky I would be able to get the sky gen tv after 3 months regardless of my credit score. Now I can't get it any tips on how to overcome?

You can purchase the tv outright or take finance for which you will need a credit check and pass. You can order via the Sky website or by calling Sky directly.

@ChaseBabbage You also need to be aware that if you fail the credit check Sky can't override it, if you were told you would get Sky Glsss regardless of your credit score then I'm afriad you've been misled as no company providing credit can ignore your CRA as that would be higly irresponsible.

And risk severe sanctions from the Financial Conduct Authority as the regulator of businesses offered unsecured personal loans.

Be aware that joining Sky and purchasing a Sky Glass TV on a long term load agreement will lock you in to a monthly payment plan for anything up to 4 years. You will be paying a monthly amount for the purchase of the TV itself over this period, as well as an additional monthly payment for the streaming subscription channels. This can be on a rolling monthly basis (costing more) or on a 2 year contract (for a little less.)

Make sure that you will be financially solvent for the next four years before committing to such a payment plan. If you already have a poor credit rating then it may not be adviseable to get yourself tied in to another financial commitment of this type.

Assuming you have a Sky puck, you might want to try purchasing another TV to use it on e.g. brand new Samsung 65" TVs on eBay for £420 incl delivery.

Second hand Sky Glass TVs are available too on eBay but you will likely have to arrange your own collection.

If your heart is set on a brand new Gen 2 and you cannot get credit from Sky, you will either have to source credit from elsewhere or do what my parents used to do... save up till they had enough money to purchase what they wanted.
