&lt;P&gt;I believe it's HDMI #3 that's recommended for optical players, and there's an option somewhere in the settings to increase compatibility.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Compatibility Mode: When plugged into HDMI 3, press the Home button on your Sky Glass remote, go to Settings &amp;gt; Inputs and toggle on the older device compatibility setting.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;An actual DVD player is going to be rather old, though: a Blu-ray player may be more successful.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;DVD players built-in to 'Home Cinema' systems with an attached speaker set are truly obsolete.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
