Sky Glass Gen 1 won't start

Here’s a clearer, more polished version:

We’ve been using a Sky Glass Gen 1 since June 2025 without any issues. As of yesterday, it has stopped responding to the remote. I’ve already replaced the batteries, but there’s still no response. The only way we can get the TV on is by switching the plug socket off and back on again.

That's well after the release of the Gen 2: does this mean you aren't the original purchaser?

It's significant for warranty cover and availability of a replacement remote.

Will the tv turn on with the power button on the side of the unit ?

No. I tried that before having to switch off thepower at the wall.

Im having the same issue except when I put it back in/switch back on at the wall it doesnt turn on straight away. After about 15 minutes it turns on and im able to use the remote again.

I was able to use the TV straightaway after switching the plug socket back on. I've not had any further problems with the TV or the remote.
