No TV in 2026 should have a picture as bad as this. What are you playing at Sky. I opted for the air because I didn't want a sound bar. I was not informed that the picture was significantly worse than normal sky glass. This is miss-advertising and miss-selling at its purest.

Blacks that are so pixelated it looks like a graphics from the NES era of gaming!

I want to know what Sky are going to do about this because you've tied customers up in contracts for a sub-standard product that can't even deliver on a basic level.

If Sky don't take responsibility for all the customers they've hoodwinked then I'll definitely be taking it further. Customers have consumer rights after all.

Hopefully you'll take responsibility.

Reviews of Glass Air on release suggest it's at least adequate for its price, so it seems likely you've either got a bad unit, the source material is problematic or the set isn't receiving sufficient bandwidth.

For example:

Which TV you can get for a similar price but better quality picture?

Sorry SKY but it's no from me too. My Skyglass air is proving impossible to calibrate for a decent picture. I've tried implementing settings from online tutorials. Reverting to defaults. And applying my digital image knowledge in the hope of getting a decent picture. It seems to be impossible to achieve the result that any modern TV should be capable of.

The image when viewing off axis is woeful!

I'm still in the cooling off period so it looks like we will be "having a conversation".

I bought a 43" Air a month or so ago with the offer being on it's a reasonably priced TV and I wanted the green to match the kitchen. Anyway the picture although not nano led quality is exceptional for the product. There certainly appears to be a backlight issue with the pictures above.

These TV's get hammered for poor picture quality but with streaming the picture quality is only as good as the bandwidth received, often apps reduce quality to ensure there is no lagging.

The best way to set the picture is playing a DVD if possible as that is far more stable. If the image is still as poor as above then I suspect backlit panel issue.

Ensure auto backlit is off as well as sharpness set to 0. A high sharpness level causes halo and pixelated blacks. Contrast etc set to personal preference.

I bought an air for the kids’ bedroom a couple of weeks ago and haven’t experienced the poor picture quality issues mentioned in the first post of this thread. The TV picture is satisfactory for the price.

I took advantage of the 20% discount and paid just £237 including delivery. I doubt Sky made much profit on this sale. Given the price point I wasn’t expecting much.

I've the same problem. The picture quality is terrible. The colours are faded and the dark scenes are pixelated. I was in to sky for two hours as I've only had it a day. They said they'll send a new tv or if i cancel it's £25. Total rip off. Btw the sound is tinny .

This is my picture. Our OLED broke and i needed a replacement until after a wedding bill had been sorted. It does take some tweaking in the settings. Also the HD and UHD settings are seperate. Have never had a halo etc its ok, not terrible and not great. For the price its fine foe now.

this is what i used

Contrast from 80 to 53

Video brightness 50 to 40

Colour temp to 2pt -

R gain to 12 from 0

R offset to 18 from 0

B offset to 22 from 0

I have a 43" Glass Air here, and left the screen settings on Auto. The picture here is quite good I think, it's very similar to my old Samsung 8000 series. I certainly don't see the pixelation you do, the blacks are quite smooth here, and colours are OK.

There are plenty of other glitches and bugs that would make me not recommend the Glass TV over a puck and better known brand. The picture itself is not one of the downsides. Considering we only paid just over £200, it's quite a bargain, so expectations have to be realistic - it's not going to compare with a £2000 TV.

Also the source, and internet speed/stability can play a part too. The only time I see something similar is when Netflix switches to an advert, and you get a few seconds of a blank screen that shows a pixelated patch.

Also note that not all channels, or programs, may be transmitted in 4K, or even true HD, some are upscaled up from a lower resolution. Indeed, most modern TVs upscale HD to view on a 4K screen. It's not a magic potion though, and software has to fill in the missing pixels.

However, if all programs appears this way, I'd say it's a faulty screen.
