How do I turn off subtitles on my tv. My remote doesn't have a subtitle button.

Press the home button and scroll down to settings > accessibility> toggle subtitles to OFF or you can use voice command and say "then subtitles OFF".

if watching live Tv you can also press the 3 dots button (...) then scroll across to subtitles to turn them on/off

Play the show in Disney plus then hit pause. Hit the downwards button on your remote and scroll to the far right bottom of the screen to the settings icon. From there subtitle options will appear at the top of your screen and you can select "Off".

Have tried all the methods here, but nothing works, I did not even turn it on in the first place, it just appeared and is so annoying, I can't watch sky stream now

Same with me. Driving me mad, it's telling me subtitles are off and continues to display them. 😑

Hi @Mrsbee1 I'm assuming you mean that subtitles are turned off in settings. If so you shouldn't get any with live TV and Sky channels. If you are still seeing subtitles with Apps (iPlayer, 4, ITVX, etc) then you will have to turn them off within the individual apps.

As an example, if you are getting subtitles when watching catchup on the 4 you need to pause the programme and press up on the remote and click on the subtitle box next to "watch more". This turns them off/on for that specific App. Unfortunately different Apps have different methods of turning subtitles on and off.

No button exists at any corner of the screen. No settings button on the film at pause.

Very frustrating. Will just have to watch the film with subtitle!!!
