It doesn't seem possible to rename the HDMI inputs - surely that's not true.

I could do that on a tv I bought for £100 fifteen years ago. I don't think I've ever seen a tv that can't.

I have the same issue. Research suggests there is an option within connected dmvices

under hdmi inputs, but there are just three toggle options and no option to rename

Unfortunately AI search results frequently get such things wrong because they incorrectly extrapolate from more general examples (in this case other smart TV operating systems)

The glass will sense and rename some devices .......

the hdmi socket I have my firestick plugged in has renamed to firestick. Unfortunately I think the devices needs to be powered on constantly to retain the name

my Xbox one S has never displayed "Xbox" or "console" even though I have seen others posting that it's worked for them
