The payments for the TV itself are seperate from the streaming subscription and you must continue to pay for the TV even if you decide to stop the streaming subscription.

Did you sign up for a 24 month contract or a 31 day rolling contract for the streaming service? If it was a 24 month contract then technically you'll have to keep paying it for 24 months but Sky have released customers from long term contracts early if they have had repeated issues maintaining a stable service and the customer has tried everything advised to improve things.

If you signed up on a 31 day rolling contract then you simply need to give 31 days notice to cancel.

The original discounted minimum subscription term for television content was 18 months: these are now 24 months (in the UK). The change happened in June 2024.

The finance repayment period is either 24 or 48 months.
