There is a known software issue with both glass and stream, even if connected via Ethernet connection can fail as the software looks for a stable WiFi connection even if the correct process to deactivate it has been followed.

The solution is when it happens turn off the device using the power button on your remote, give it 5 seconds or so then press the home button. The Glass or puck in my case 100% connects each time.

See this thread. https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Glass/Glass-I-m-connected-via-Ethernet-and-on-first-power-up-it-tells-me-I-don-t-have-a-connection/m-p/5137527#M173448

Hi @Llissaa When this has happened to me in the past the following procedure always resolves it.

Put your Glass or puck into Standby and then unplug both your Glass TV (or puck) and router. Leave for a couple of minutes and then plug your router back in and wait for it to finish rebooting. Once it has rebooted plug your glass TV back in and when that has also rebooted it should have reconnected to the internet

If that doesn't resolve the issue then have a look at the following links to see if they help:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-glass-no-internet-connection-osm

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/connect-devices-to-broadband-start

Every response to issues around internet connection failing on Sky Glass is "restart your router". The problem is not the router. It is the flaky software in the Sky Glass itself. I am not constantly restarting my router every time my useless Sky Glass TV tells me it cannot connect. No other device reports a problem and I am connected via Ethernet.
