I found that there is a wall mount bracket inside the TV when you remove the stand.

For a Gen 1 Glass that's correct: it's not for the Gen 2 or Glass Air

I cannot,however,get the TV to slide onto the bracket.There is a bit of plastic that looks like a bracket and I am wondering if I should drill some holes to put it beneath the bracket on the wall,thereby bring the bracket forward please?

The Gen 1 wall plate requires spacers behind it to permit the set to locate properly (and safely). Sky supplied four circular black disks for this purpose.

Hi @Gary95

For Gen 2. No bracket is included. This is an additional charge from sky for this or a VESA mount will work.

For both Gen1 and 2 instructions see: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-glass-wall-mounting-guide

MikeAlanR

@Gary95

The supplied black wall spacers are 15mm thick, 35 millimetres diameter with an 8 millimetre ('M8') diameter bolt hole.

Generic spacers (or even washers) can be used: the critical dimension is the 15mm thickness to permit the set to seat properly on its four supporting lugs, because given the weight you really don't want it to engage only partially when lifted into place. Sets of M8 spacers are available on Amazon and eBay for a few pounds.

Sky does not provide or advise on suitable wall fixings.
