Sky glass won't let me watch Channel5 without a Pin but I have no pin, tried to go to help on channel 5 website but that needed a code from the tv, which I was not getting either

Hi @Hoppingjay I don't think I have ever been asked for a PIN for Channel 5 but if are asked again try your default Sky PIN number which is the last 4 numbers of the phone number you have registered to your Sky account (unless of course you changed it in settings).

If it is the Channel 5 App that is asking you to sign in you could also look in the Settings > PIN & Parental menu and go to PIN for Apps. Select this and then look for My5 to make sure it is not set to the on position.

It was Channel 5 asking for Parental control pin but as my children are over 40 I don't have any controls set. All sorted now, more by luck than knowledge by using my gotopass number , not my phone number.
