Ad Skipping Shortcut Button

The ad skipping functionality on Sky Channels was enhanced by the Skip Ads button, however following a holiday I have come back and that functionality seems to be missing. You can fast forward through ads but the button is missing. Has Sky removed this ad skipping button?

Please ignore post and no need to reply. The ad skipping button is still available when using 'on demand' content, however it does still seem to be missing when using the 'watch from start' option which used to take you to the on demand version of the episode you are watching of a programme and offer the button but that is missing.

Have you tried a reboot to see if the button reappears?

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to System Management
3. Press Select
4. Go to Resets and Updates
5. Press Select
6. Go to Restart Device
7. Press Select.

Note this will take a few minutes to reboot, so expect to see a blank screen for 2 minutes until the Sky logo appears as its starting up.

Hi @AndyHaz The button is still there. Maybe reboot your Glass TV as it might just be a software glitch.

To do this go to Settings > System Management > Resets & Updates > Restart device. It takes a couple of minutes to completely reboot and you will have a blank screen for a couple of minutes before the Sky logo appears.

The watch from start button won't take you to the on-demand version, it will instead just take you backwards on the live stream of the channel to the start of the programme where you would need to fast forward the ads, as a skip ad button can't be inserted on the live streams.

Ad skipping is missing today for me on sky stream. I've rebooted 3 times.

The Ad Skip button is only available on Sky's on demand content. What show/channel are you referring to?

I know - Game of Thrones, I've skipped ads on every episode for the past few weeks and it's missing today along with the next episode option.

I have cloud recordings from before the ad skip button, so it isn't present. Maybe that episode has been on Sky's servers for some time predating the ad skip function.
