is there a cheat or fix to be able to record both halves of a film on the 'great' channels when there is a 5 minute break for 'movie news' in between them please

so annoying

It's the choice of the channels concerned to split films around a bogus 'news' broadcast so the owners can cram in extra advertising without breaching Ofcom regulation: this breaks Sky functionality which I suspect they can't or won't 'fix' because that would be condoning and encouraging such behaviour.
