Hi,

we got the sky glass and have had no end of issues with it. Firstly the sound bar has blown, ruining movies for us. This happened about 2 weeks post warranty and Sky basically said they won't help/support dispute us paying close to £140 a month.

now the WiFi connection breaks down every other day. I have phoned and used the only help and it's not solved this issue. It's not the WiFi as this only happens to the sky glass tv.

getting to the point of cancellation with Sky and seeking legal advice as I am paying a lot of money for a sub standard product and have no options available to me other than to pay MORE for a new TV that's just 2 years old.

any advice would ve greatly appreciated.

thanks.

Firstly the sound bar has blown, ruining movies for us.

Previous posts suggest 'buzzing' may be related to adhesive tape within the chassis coming loose rather than speaker damage: unfortunately this takes some bravery to investigate.

now the WiFi connection breaks down every other day. I have phoned and used the only help and it's not solved this issue. It's not the WiFi as this only happens to the sky glass tv.

Is the set located somewhere it's possible to reach with an ethernet cable from the internet router?

getting to the point of cancellation with Sky and seeking legal advice as I am paying a lot of money for a sub standard product and have no options available to me other than to pay MORE for a new TV that's just 2 years old.

Cancelling the content subscription outside a minimum contract term is entirely legitimate, but remember that unilaterally ceasing repayment of an unsecured personal loan automatically puts you in a weakened position.

It'd be terribly unfortunate if an errant object damaged your Glass somehow and you were forced into making a home insurance claim. That being said, Sky do have the option of selling your a reduced-price refurb unit if you're unit is out of warranty and faulty. Or these things can be had fairly cheap (for obvious reasons) on the second hand market if you really want a replacement.
